Processing of personal data

The personal data that we receive when you use our online services are collected and used strictly within the legally permitted framework and solely for the purpose for which you have supplied the data (e.g. requesting information materials, posting comments, subscribing to newsletters). Media Center Registration

We have integrated a Media Center into our website, where you can find various information about us and our services. To access the Media Center, prior registration or login is required.

  • Laboratory [optional]

The data collected from you will only be processed for the specified purpose and will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil this purpose. The data will not be shared with third parties.

If you consent to receiving information about upcoming events or similar via email by activating the corresponding checkbox during your registration, we will also process the collected data for such purpose. The legal basis for processing is in any case your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. Your user account will be deleted immediately upon cancellation.

Our Media Center contains embedded YouTube videos that you can play if you are interested in them. Regarding the data processing involved in playing YouTube videos and the associated data transfer to Google, we would like to refer you to the sections ‘Use of Google services’ and ‘YouTube’ in this privacy policy. More detailed information is listed there.

Registration for the Interdentale Event

As part of the registration process for an Interdentale event, we collect and process the data required for registration. This includes your name, first name, position, university/dental clinic/laboratory and your email address. The legal basis for data collection is registration, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

As a participant, we will also inform you of future events using your email address. You can object to the use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending a message to clinicalreasearch@mtcompanies.com or by using an unsubscribe link. The legal basis for data collection is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Newsletter

We would like to point out that should you wish to receive the newsletter offered on our website, the data collected in the registration form will be used by us exclusively for sending our newsletter with information about all our services, among other things.

We need your explicit consent pursuant to the Sentence 1 of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR to send you our newsletter. You can revoke the consent you have given at any time. Once your registration is complete, we will send you a confirmation email containing a link you must click on to finalise the order (‘double opt-in’). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link. If you request information, for example on products or services, we will use your data to provide you with the relevant information. To this end it may be necessary for DMG to forward your data to affiliated companies as well as partner companies for the fulfilment of contracts. You may also revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

We use the Evalanche service from SC-Networks GmbH, Würmstraße 4, 82319 Starnberg, to send and analyse our newsletters. Evalanche enables us to analyse email open rates and click behaviour in order to optimise our offers. The analysis only takes place if you have expressly consented to it (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Our emails and links may contain UTM parameters, which help us measure the success of our campaigns. This data is evaluated in conjunction with web analysis tools, but only in anonymised form, unless express consent has been given. We only analyse this data to help us optimise our marketing activities and only do so where consent has been given (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The evaluation can also be carried out in the Evalanche tool, provided the users are known to the tool and have consented to tracking.

We have entered into an order processing contract with Evalanche in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR with the aim of ensuring that Evalanche processes all data exclusively in a lawful manner.

Use of social media plugins

This website uses ‘social plugins’ of the social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, which are operated by

The website uses the so-called two-click solution. This means that, when you visit our site, generally speaking, no personal data are initially passed on to the providers of the plugins. You can recognise the provider of the plugin by means of the logo. We offer you the opportunity to communicate directly with the provider of the plugin using the button. Only if you click on and thereby activate the marked field will the plugin provider receive the notification that you have accessed the corresponding website on which we have an online presence. In addition, the data mentioned at the beginning of this privacy policy will be transmitted. In the case of Facebook, the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection, as declared by the respective provider in Germany. Activating the plugin transfers your personal data to the plugin provider in question and stores it on their servers (in the case of US providers, in the USA).

We have no influence over the data collected and the data processing operations, and neither are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of processing or the storage periods. We also have no information concerning the plugin provider’s erasure of the collected data.

The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and/or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) for the display of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network of your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the plugin provider in question to exercise this right. By means of the plugins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users so that we can improve our online presence and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for use of the plugins is Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR.

The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the plugin provider and are logged in it. If you are logged into the plugin provider’s website, the data we collect is directly assigned to your account with the plugin provider. If you click the activated button and link to the page, for example, the plugin provider also saves this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, since this will help you to avoid assignment to your profile with the plugin provider.

As Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, any associated data transfers will be adequately protected. Please note that in the case of X, there is no certification and therefore no adequate level of data protection for this transfer. Our website makes use of various services provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Personal data about you may be processed in this context. To ensure that our use of your data is lawful, we obtain your consent to this effect by means of our cookie banner. The legal basis for such processing is therefore Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Google is a US company, so it is very likely that data shall also be processed in the USA. Consequently, processing there also takes place based on the locally applicable data protection laws. We cannot guarantee at present that Google will apply a data protection standard equivalent to ours when processing your data. If you consent to use of the Google services in question, your consent therefore also includes processing of your data in the US in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.

YouTube

Components (videos) provided by the company YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, a Google Inc. company, are used on this website. Here we use the ‘Privacy-Enhanced Mode’ option provided by YouTube. When you visit a page featuring an embedded video, a connection is established with YouTube’s web servers, which then instruct your browser to display the content on the webpage. According to YouTube, the use of this ‘Privacy-Enhanced Mode’ means that data (specifically concerning which of our webpages you have visited) is only transmitted to YouTube’s server if you watch the video. If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, this information will be linked to your account with YouTube. You can prevent this from happening by signing out of your account before visiting our website.
